Senior Engineering Project Manager
Responsible for project management, engineering design, bidding, and construction management on multiple small to medium‑size projects relating to various aspects of the business. Responsibilities include technical supervision over consulting project engineers, technicians, CADD operators, and construction inspectors; planning, design, and construction supervision; preparation of technical, bidding, and contractual documents; ensuring scope and quality of work meet design concepts, company standards, and regulatory compliance;
developing technical information into feasible engineering approaches; building relationships with engineering firms, vendors, and contractors; providing technical expertise on engineering and operational issues; supervising field and contract personnel; adhering to engineering standards; coordinating pre‑qualification and selection of consultants and contractors; and establishing project budgets and cost controls.
- Demonstrated knowledge of engineering design theory and practice, project management, construction and contract management, water resources, water/wastewater facilities, and utility operations.
- Knowledge of current trends in water quality and treatment and other aspects of the regulated and non‑regulated water industry.
- General understanding of US regulations (commercial and environmental), legislation and trends impacting the water industry.
- Sound business acumen and judgment.
- Process, project and program management skills.
- Quantitative skills (e.g., analytical, technical, problem solving).
- Effective people management (planning, organizing, controlling and leading teams).
- Written and verbal communication (report writing and presentations).
- Interpersonal skills (persuasion, negotiation, listening, cooperation, tact, diplomacy, problem solving, internal consulting).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
- Minimum 4 years experience in water resources design and project management.
- Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification strongly preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Up to 20%.
