** As an Associate Rotational Engineer, you will build hands-on experience in electrical engineering, mechanical systems, and project management within power generation and utility operations. Through a structured 24-month program, you’ll rotate across assignments that expose you to real-world engineering challenges, capital projects, and plant systems. This is an opportunity to accelerate your career while contributing to the reliable production of energy at Associated Electric Cooperative.
** What You’ll Do
*** Rotate through assignments focused on electrical systems, mechanical equipment, and engineering project management
* Partner with engineers and project teams to support power plant operations, maintenance, and capital projects
* Assist in planning, tracking, and executing engineering projects to improve performance and reliability
* Analyze system data, troubleshoot issues, and recommend practical engineering solutions
* Collaborate across teams to support safe, efficient, and compliant operations
** What You’ll Need
*** Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program
* Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear recommendations
* Interest in project management, engineering design, and plant operations
* Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
* Willingness and ability to relocate upon completion of the program
** Preferred
* ** Internship or co-op experience in power generation, utilities, manufacturing, or industrial environments
* Exposure to project management principles or tools
* Demonstrated leadership experience through academic or extracurricular activities
* Interest in building a long-term career in the energy or utility industry
