As a Project Engineer, you won't just support projects—you'll help drive them, collaborating across teams and working directly with customers to bring complex, cutting-edge solutions to life.
What You'll DoAs a Project Engineer, you'll be at the center of engineering, execution, and innovation:
Engineering & Design- Design and specify bioprocess and clean utility systems for new and upgraded facilities
- Create and review critical engineering documents (P&IDs, GA drawings, BOMs)
- Perform calculations for equipment sizing and system validation
- Partner with designers to ensure equipment meets form, fit, and function expectations
- Support Project Managers to deliver projects on time, on budget, and beyond expectations
- Track project scope, costs, and timelines—ensuring nothing falls through the cracks
- Act as a technical expert and customer point of contact throughout project lifecycle
- Jump in to support project leadership when needed
- Lead or support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)—both domestic & international
- Develop test plans and collaborate with customers for approvals
- Work closely with Manufacturing and Quality teams to bring designs to reality
- Collaborate with Automation and Electrical teams on system functionality and communications
- Review and approve documentation like FRS and DDS
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement (CI) and operational efficiency
- Work on custom-engineered systems that directly impact global health
- Collaborate with experts across engineering, automation, manufacturing, and quality
- Gain hands-on exposure to high-tech biopharma equipment and processes
- Travel to customer sites and see your work in action
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Biological, or similar)
- 3+ years of engineering experience (5+ preferred in biopharma, piping, or custom equipment)
- Experience supporting equipment manufacturing, testing, or automation is a strong plus
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-driven environment
- Familiarity with Continuous Improvement, Lean, or Six Sigma is a bonus
