Due to recent promotions, the City of Springfield's Department of Public Works is seeking qualified applicants for a Professional Engineer, with the option to underfill as Engineer III, Engineer II, and Engineer I, in the Transportation Engineering Division.
Qualifications and Requirements- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering discipline.
- Four years of engineering experience; experience must be commensurate with the specialty area required for the vacancy.
- Three years of progressively responsible engineering experience.
- Must possess an Engineering Intern (EI) certificate from a State Board of registration for Professional Engineers within the probationary period, or a master’s degree in engineering may be substituted.
- Two years of progressively responsible engineering experience.
- A master’s degree in engineering may be substituted for one year of the required work experience.
- No additional requirements beyond the basic qualifications.
- Must possess a Professional Engineer license.
- Must possess a Missouri license as issued by the Missouri State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers within six months of employment.
- Professional Engineer: $68,203.20 – $ annually
- Engineer III: $63,523.20 – $ annually
- Engineer II: $56,742.40 – $97,427.20 annually
- Engineer I: $52,208.00 – $89,648.00 annually
