Help bring innovative security products to market with confidence.

For more than 50 years, we've been a trusted leader in the security manufacturing industry, building a reputation for innovation, quality, and reliability. Today, we're investing in the future - expanding our product portfolio, growing our team, and developing the next generation of security solutions.

We're looking for someone who is passionate about product quality, regulatory compliance, and problem-solving. In this role, you'll work at the intersection of engineering, product development, and certification, helping ensure our products meet the industry's highest standards before they reach our customers.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and coordinate product compliance projects with certification agencies and internal stakeholders.
  • Perform hardware testing in our compliance lab to support new product development and certification efforts.
  • Ensure products meet applicable industry standards, including UL, ETL, FCC, Intertek, ULC, NFPA, and other relevant certifications.
  • Prepare and maintain compliance documentation, test plans, reports, certifications, and submission records.
  • Track project milestones, testing schedules, certification timelines, and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with Hardware Engineering and Product Management throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Investigate failed compliance tests, assist with root-cause analysis, coordinate corrective actions, and manage retesting efforts.
  • Evaluate engineering changes and determine their potential impact on product certifications.
  • Maintain calibrated test equipment and laboratory inventory.
  • Support internal and external compliance audits by organizing documentation and required evidence.
  • Serve as a technical resource by responding to compliance-related questions from customers and Technical Support.
  • Continuously improve testing processes and documentation to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Represent the company in UL and NFPA standards development activities.
  • Provide regular updates on testing progress and compliance project status.
  • Maintain technical expertise on company products and applicable industry standards.
  • Support additional technical initiatives and cross-functional projects as needed.
What We're Looking For

We're seeking a technically skilled professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys solving complex challenges.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Hardware Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of testing and troubleshooting experience within the electronic security industry.
  • Knowledge of compliance standards and certification requirements for electronic security products.
  • Experience working with compliance laboratories and testing procedures.
  • Hands-on experience using electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, transient stimulators, data analyzers, environmental chambers, and similar laboratory equipment.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience testing or troubleshooting DMP products is a plus, but not required.
  • Previous compliance lab or certification experience is a plus, but not required.
Why Join Us?
  • Work alongside talented engineers, product managers, and technical experts on products that protect businesses, schools, and communities.
  • Play a key role in bringing new technologies to market while ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Enjoy a collaborative culture where your technical expertise, ideas, and contributions make a meaningful impact.

If you enjoy technical challenges, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and playing a critical role in product development, we'd love to meet you.
