We're looking for someone who is passionate about product quality, regulatory compliance, and problem-solving. In this role, you'll work at the intersection of engineering, product development, and certification, helping ensure our products meet the industry's highest standards before they reach our customers.
What You'll Do- Lead and coordinate product compliance projects with certification agencies and internal stakeholders.
- Perform hardware testing in our compliance lab to support new product development and certification efforts.
- Ensure products meet applicable industry standards, including UL, ETL, FCC, Intertek, ULC, NFPA, and other relevant certifications.
- Prepare and maintain compliance documentation, test plans, reports, certifications, and submission records.
- Track project milestones, testing schedules, certification timelines, and deliverables.
- Collaborate with Hardware Engineering and Product Management throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Investigate failed compliance tests, assist with root-cause analysis, coordinate corrective actions, and manage retesting efforts.
- Evaluate engineering changes and determine their potential impact on product certifications.
- Maintain calibrated test equipment and laboratory inventory.
- Support internal and external compliance audits by organizing documentation and required evidence.
- Serve as a technical resource by responding to compliance-related questions from customers and Technical Support.
- Continuously improve testing processes and documentation to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Represent the company in UL and NFPA standards development activities.
- Provide regular updates on testing progress and compliance project status.
- Maintain technical expertise on company products and applicable industry standards.
- Support additional technical initiatives and cross-functional projects as needed.
We're seeking a technically skilled professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys solving complex challenges.
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Hardware Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of testing and troubleshooting experience within the electronic security industry.
- Knowledge of compliance standards and certification requirements for electronic security products.
- Experience working with compliance laboratories and testing procedures.
- Hands-on experience using electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, transient stimulators, data analyzers, environmental chambers, and similar laboratory equipment.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience testing or troubleshooting DMP products is a plus, but not required.
- Previous compliance lab or certification experience is a plus, but not required.
- Work alongside talented engineers, product managers, and technical experts on products that protect businesses, schools, and communities.
