Role Overview:
Specializing in structural systems and multi‑disciplinary coordination for complex building and infrastructure projects. Responsible for developing and managing detailed structural BIM models that support accurate analysis, documentation, and constructability for engineering teams. Contributes to maintaining BIM standards, improving modeling practices, and mentoring junior designers to ensure high‑quality structural engineering deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
Senior Model Delivery & Technical Oversight
- Lead BIM delivery on the firm's most complex, high-profile, or fast-track structural projects.
- Provide technical oversight across multiple simultaneous projects, ensuring model integrity, documentation quality, and standard compliance firm-wide.
- Resolve high-complexity modeling challenges — large assemblies, phased construction, unusual structural systems, or multi-site projects — that exceed the scope of L1/L2 staff.
- Serve as the final internal QC authority on BIM deliverables before submission to clients or governing agencies.
BIM Strategy, Standards & Governance
- Author, own, and continuously improve the firm's BIM Execution Plan (BEP) templates, modeling standards, and content libraries.
- Evaluate and implement new BIM tools, plugins, automation scripts, and platform updates; develop adoption plans and training materials for rollout.
- Establish and enforce model governance protocols across all active projects, including LOD requirements, workset structure, naming conventions, and delivery formats.
- Represent the firm's BIM capabilities and standards in conversations with clients, contractors, owners, and partner firms.
