Position Overview
This position provides an overall welcoming environment while ensuring a safe and secure community during overnight hours. This role supports resident needs, monitors the community, and responds to emergencies as needed.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Monitor front desk operations during overnight hours and maintain a visible presence.
- Welcome all guests warmly, determine nature of business, assist with sign-in procedure, and announce guest to appropriate personnel or resident.
- Monitor the community through periodic rounds, including common areas and entry points, to ensure a safe and secure living environment residents.
- Respond to resident requests or concerns in a timely manner.
- Respond to emergency situations by following established procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Maintain accurate log of incidents, rounds, and overnight activity.
- Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and respond to inquiries.
- Deliver newspapers to resident apartments or mailboxes.
- Perform light cleaning of common areas, public bathrooms, windows, floors, and light fixtures.
- Empty trash in all the common areas including the office, kitchen, and resident trash rooms.
- Provide support to other departments, as assigned by supervisor.
- Report on-the-job injuries to the supervisor before the end of the work shift on the day the injury occurs.
- Maintain confidentiality of resident and community information.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience and Other Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Experience in customer service, hospitality, or senior living
- Must be at least 21 years of age
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
- Basic computer skills, including phone systems
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail
- Professional and calm demeanor, especially in emergency situations
- Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout overnight hours.
- Promote teamwork in providing services to residents.

- Enjoyment in working with older adults
