A prominent manufacturing firm in the region is looking for an Assistant controller who enjoys owning the numbers, improving processes, and partnering with leadership to keep the financial engines running smoothly.
This is a highly visible role what works closely with the Controller and leadership team to support financial reporting, month-end-close, budgeting, and internal controls. If you’re someone who loves problem solving, mentoring staff, and improving accounting processes, you’ll feel right at home.
What You’ll Be DoingThink of this role as the right hand of the Controller. This role touches every part of the accounting cycle and offers strong visibility across the organization. You’ll help ensure accurate reporting, strong cash flow management, and reliable financial insights and leadership.
Your day-to-day will include managing general ledger accounting, supporting month-end close process, and preparing financial reports that help guide business decisions. You’ll assist with budgeting and forecasting and help monitor capital expenditures.
You’ll also oversee cash collections and cash flow reporting, supporting Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, and help maintain strong internal controls and risk management practices. You’ll play an important role in audit preparation, including year-end financial audits and tax credit support. Expect to collaborate closely with operations, HR, and leadership teams, while mentoring and guiding junior accounting staff.
What We’re Looking ForWe’re seeking an Assistant Controller who brings strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Core Background- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3-5+ years of experience in manufacturing or construction accounting
- Experience with cost accounting, financial reporting, depreciation schedules, and internal controls.
- Experience supporting month-end close, budgeting, and forecasting
- Strong understanding of cash flow management and financial reporting
- CPA or CMA track (in progress)
- Experience supporting financial audits and risk management initiatives
- Comfortable juggling multiple projects simultaneously

Compensation and Benefits- $75,000-$95,000 commensurate with experience.
