Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of U.S. federal income tax return Form 1120 for a consolidated group.
- Analyze book-to-tax differences and support reconciliations.
- Calculate and process quarterly estimated tax payments and annual extensions.
- Assist with preparation of US income tax provisions consistent with IAS 12.
- Perform tax account reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of tax balances in the general ledger.
- Work with external auditors to support tax provision review.
- Support federal tax audits and information requests.
- Complete special projects and other compliance tasks.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors on tax matters.
Skills and Abilities
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
- 0-2 years of relevant experience in a corporate tax department or a CPA firm.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Collaborative and team‑oriented.
- Familiarity with One Source tax software.
- Advanced degree in finance‑related field.
- CPA certification or progress towards certification.
- Familiarity with ERP consolidation systems such as BPC or HFM.
- Personal Computer.
- Office equipment – multi‑function printers.
- The Federal Tax Accountant will report to the Federal Tax Manager.
