SummaryThe BSA Alert Analyst is responsible for performing core BSA/AML compliance functions including alert review, customer risk profiling, due diligence reviews, CTR processing, and ongoing monitoring activities. This role focuses on first-line analytical review and program execution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Monitoring AML alerts within the Bank’s BSA/AML monitoring software. Researching, tracking, and monitoring alerts. Determine when alerts should be upgraded to a case for enhanced review.
- Review high-risk customer accounts, including third party payment processors and independent ATM owners.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Fin Tech, Deposit Operations, and internal audit, to ensure compliance considerations are integrated into business processes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date compliance documentation, including policies, procedures, and audit trails.
- Provide compliance training and support to employees across the organization, helping to promote a culture of compliance.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in BSA and banking compliance.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Associate’s degree in finance, business administration legal studies, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Banking, BSA, Fraud or Compliance roles within the Financial Services, Financial Technology, or Payments industry.
- Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong understanding of relevant financial regulations.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and trends to inform decision-making.
- All candidates must complete a pre-employment background check, credit check, and drug screening.
- Must exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
- Sitting for long periods.
The working conditions are generally comfortable, with minimal exposure to noise, heat, dust, and other related items. All employees are required to maintain a neat and safe work area.
