Salary Range: $55,000.00 – $80,000.00
The Senior Loan Operations Specialist will be responsible for all daily loan servicing across Commercial, Mortgage, & Consumer portfolios. This role involves loan servicing; assisting with commercial loan document preparation and closings; booking; lien perfection; payments and advances; participation loan servicing; reconciliations; payoff requests; general loan maintenance and input; and providing exceptional customer service to internal & external customers. The ideal candidate will have hand-on experience in loan servicing and a solid understanding of operational processes.
Key Responsibilities- Assure compliance with all Bank policies and procedures as well as state and federal banking regulations, as applicable
- Follow all BSA/AML/OFAC guidelines and complete annual training as assigned
- Book and fund new loans; renewals and modifications
- Process loan payments, advances, escrow tax/and or insurance disbursements, payoffs, and other general loan input/maintenance into core system
- Coordinate and process all construction loan advance requests
- Process incoming mail accordingly to ensure all essential documents are uploaded and saved appropriately
- Process loan payoff requests, communicating with the other financial institutions, borrowers, and/or title companies
- Accurately monitor perfection of liens, working closely with lenders and their support staff to resolve any pending items in a timely manner
- Process paid loans into the monthly closed loan report and release collateral according to procedures
- Monitor properties located in flood zones to ensure compliance
- Provide internal and external support both by phone and email
- Understand credit approval and determine appropriate due diligence necessary to assist with documenting a commercial loan including but not limited to credit reports; good standing certificates; appraisals, EPA reports, insurance, title commitments, flood determinations, UCC searches, etc.
- Conduct post-closing reviews and track ongoing exceptions
- Ensure internal controls are maintained and loan files and records are complete & accurate through quality control checks
- Scan loan documents into the imaging system as needed and review for accuracy
- Review daily and monthly loan reports
- Perform other duties as assigned
Experience
10+ years of experience in loan operations and/or loan servicing for commercial and consumer portfolios
Skills- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook & Teams
- In-depth knowledge of loan servicing related compliance regulations
- A self-starter with initiative and desire to learn
- Meticulous with high organizational skills
- Strong time management skills with proven ability to manage self & workload
- Works under limited supervision and exercises good judgement within guidelines
- Proven ability to work collaboratively to reach mutual goals
- Excellent verbal & written communication with ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and professionally
- Ability to learn and follow policies and procedures
