Part Time Teller - Alliance Bank

Alliance Bank is a locally-owned community bank serving the populations in Cape Girardeau, Oran, Sikeston, Jackson, and New Madrid, Missouri. Our mission is to be the preferred Community Bank provider of financial services in the markets we serve.

We are seeking a Part Time Teller to provide high-quality banking service to our customers. The teller will handle basic cash transactions, record loan payments, process bank instrument sales, and answer customers’ questions.

• Process customer transactions including deposits, loan payments, checking/savings withdrawals and cashing checks in accordance with bank procedures.
• Count and prepare currency, coins, and checks for shipment to the Federal Reserve Bank.
• Balance personal cash drawer daily.
• Respond to customers’ needs in various ways while cross-selling bank products and services.
• Assist in opening and closing the branch, following established security procedures.
• Count, fill, balance, audit and order monies for the cash vault, ATM, and TCD.
• Answer incoming telephone calls as needed.
• Comply with all departmental and company policies, procedures and regulations.
• Maintain customer confidentiality.
• Maintain regular, punctual, and physical attendance.
• Complete other specified duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Six months to one year experience in cash handling and customer service (preferred).
• Strong math and problem solving skills.
• Must be able to work flexible schedules and Saturdays.
• Able to learn bank products and services to explain to customers.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies weighing up to 40 pounds.
