Advance your clinical experience with our dynamic team of medical professionals. In this role, you will provide pharmaceutical services to patients in the Perioperative Services department, collaborate with departments including Anesthesiology, Surgery, Perioperative Services and Pharmacy, and work to optimize the value, safety, and quality of patient care throughout the surgical continuum.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate the patient's health condition and medication profile to support optimal outcomes. Monitor therapy and goals of care. Document activities and communications as appropriate.
  • Participate in professional development and research activities.
  • Contribute to performance improvement, clinical effectiveness, drug use evaluation, and committee activities in collaboration with hospital departments.
  • Educate and train pharmacy staff, residents and students; serve as a role model and mentor.
  • Identify and implement targeted drug cost reduction programs.
Role Purpose

Evaluates and recommends appropriate drug therapy to achieve optimal cost-effective patient outcomes, by working directly with physicians, other health professionals, and patients. Participates in the development, provision and evaluation of comprehensive pharmaceutical care and quality assurance programs through scholarly activities. Serves as a resource to the pharmacy staff and other hospital departments.
