A Prosthetic and Orthotic Office Specialist will provide the highest level of customer service to patients, fellow employees and referral sources through the coordination and administration of contact with all customers. Responsibilities involve a good understanding of the P & O clinic software system OPIE which is used for the majority of all operating tasks. Responsibilities also include all aspects of clinic administrative operations from scheduling appointments, validating insurance and payment authorization, filing claims when needed, processing payments, assisting with account collections and conducting billing research.
Assist with efficient cash collections through excellent reimbursement practices while ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations and established company policies and compliance programs.
- Required:
High School Diploma or Equivalent - Preferred:
Associate’s degree or higher
- Required:
1-2 years' experience in a medical office setting - Preferred: 3-5 years in a P and O practice and experience with OPIE software
- Excellent communication skills
- Microsoft office skills
- Ability to multitask
