*** Saint Luke's East is now seeking a Pharmacy Intern Year 1 to join their team!
**** MO Pharm Intern License required
* 1 weeknight shift per week (after school) and 2 shifts every other weekend.
*
* The Opportunity:

** A year 1 Pharmacy Intern, under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, performs all accountabilities associated with compounding, dispensing, charging, and delivery of medications to the patient. All activities are reviewed and validated for accuracy by a pharmacist, per the rules and regulations of the State Board of Pharmacy, in an effort for the individual to gain practical pharmaceutical experience in preparation for licensure as a Pharmacist.

Currently eligible for a pharmacy intern license through acceptance into an accredited school of pharmacy or pharmacy early assurance program or a pharmacy tech license.
** The Work:
*** Pick, fill and deliver medication orders and Omnicell stock to appropriate locations
* Fill first doses for new orders for patients
* Prepack drugs and compound medications including sterile products, chemotherapy, and special dosage forms (topicals, oral liquids, etc.)
* Answer the phone/ front window, and assist with questions and requests
* Complete projects as needed that improve service and/or safety
* Complete clinical student intern duties commensurate with pharmacy school education.#
