You will respond to on-call/mobile crisis calls, perform risk assessments and safety planning, coordinate hospitalizations or referrals when needed, and document interventions to meet reporting and compliance requirements. * Key Responsibilities:
*
* • Respond to on-call/mobile crisis requests and provide immediate, person-centered crisis intervention in the community or via telehealth/phone when requested by the client
• Conduct thorough face-to-face crisis assessments, evaluate risk (including suicidality), and develop safety plans with individuals and families
• Coordinate and facilitate access to appropriate crisis services, including arranging hospitalizations or referrals to community resources when needed
• Collaborate with law enforcement, emergency medical personnel, internal teams, and external partners to ensure safe, least-restrictive outcomes for individuals served
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation in electronic medical records to meet DMH, BBH, and other reporting/compliance requirements
• Communicate with Crisis Team members for backup and resource coordination; escalate cases appropriately
• Attend required trainings, supervision, conference calls, and meetings to maintain competencies and program compliance
** Education, Experience, and/or Credential
Qualifications:
*
* • Bachelor’s degree in counseling and guidance, rehabilitation counseling, social work, education, vocational counseling, psychology, pastoral counseling, family therapy, or a related human service field
• OR a minimum of a high school diploma or GED plus 5 years supervised clinical experience in mental health or human services
• Illinois exception noted in original posting excluded (position location: Missouri)
• Prior experience assessing and intervening in mental health crises, including suicidality assessment and safety planning
