Position: Community Support Specialists (Adult)

Community Support Specialists – Adult Services (Springfield, Greene County, Missouri) – Full‑time, weekdays (no weekends). Compensation: $22/hour + Burrell benefits (Health, Dental, Vision, etc.) + up to $12,000 in annual collaborative service goal bonuses. Mileage reimbursement and paid time‑off/holidays provided.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide top‑notch mental health services to clients in community settings such as homes and clinics.
  • Use motivational interviewing, operant conditioning, and cognitive processing techniques to help clients achieve treatment goals.
  • Promote recovery and resilience through supportive education and job‑aligned activities.
  • Maintain a manageable caseload and collaborate with supervisory staff to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Participate in staffing sessions for client needs assessment, goal setting, and individualized plan development.
  • Respond to emergencies with sound judgment and discretion, providing timely aid during mental health crises.
  • Provide comprehensive follow‑up services, including outreach and engagement for missed appointments.
  • Document all interactions accurately, including attempted or unsuccessful contacts.
  • Engage in staff development activities such as meetings, training sessions, and workshops.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Compassion, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
Education / Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Education, Criminal Justice, Family Studies, Counseling, Recreational Therapy, Human Services, Human Development, Child Development, Gerontology, Behavioral Science, or Rehabilitation Counseling.
  • OR Associate of Applied Science in Behavioral Health Support from an approved institution.
  • OR work experience in a related human services field; four years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience equaling four years required.
  • Qualified Addictions Professional (QAP) certifications such as CADC, CRADC, CRAADC, CCJP, RADC‑P, RADC, CCDP, CCDP‑D.
