Breast Ultrasound Sonographer

BJC Health Care seeks a Breast Ultrasound Sonographer to deliver high-quality diagnostic and screening breast imaging in a mission-driven, patient-focused environment. Based within our integrated health system, you will perform breast ultrasounds, support image-guided procedures, and collaborate closely with radiologists, surgeons, and oncology teams. Responsibilities include ensuring image quality, maintaining equipment, educating and comforting patients, and documenting findings. • Perform high-quality diagnostic and screening breast ultrasound exams following established protocols.
• Collaborate with radiologists and multidisciplinary teams to support accurate diagnosis and care planning.
• Assist with breast interventional procedures, including ultrasound-guided biopsies, as directed.
• Ensure patient comfort, safety, and education throughout imaging procedures.
• Maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment, reporting issues and supporting quality control.
• Accurately document procedures and findings in the electronic health record.
• Follow infection-control, safety, and regulatory standards at all times.
• Participate in ongoing training, competency assessments, and quality improvement initiatives.
