We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team at Glenbridge Health and Rehabilitation in Boone, NC. As a COTA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide skilled therapy services that help residents improve their ability to perform daily living activities, maximize independence, and enhance quality of life.
About the Role:As a COTA at Glenbridge Health and Rehabilitation, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in implementing individualized treatment plans designed by the Occupational Therapist
- Providing occupational therapy interventions, including therapeutic activities, ADL training, adaptive equipment use, and functional mobility tasks
- Documenting residents' treatments, progress, and response to interventions in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
- Communicating regularly with the supervising OT regarding residents' progress and recommending modifications to treatment plans when appropriate
- Educating residents, families, and caregivers on exercises, adaptive strategies, and home safety techniques to promote continued independence
- Adhering to facility policies, professional standards of practice, and all state and federal regulations

Qualifications:- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current and valid certification/licensure as a COTA
- CPR certification required (or must obtain upon hire)
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred but not required
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
