Polysomnographic Technologist Nights

Role:

The Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) performs comprehensive sleep studies, analyzes data, and supports patient diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders under physician supervision.

• Prepare, calibrate, and maintain sleep study equipment according to AASM standards.
• Apply electrodes and sensors for sleep studies such as CPAP/BiPAP titration, split-night studies, and MSLT.
• Monitor patients during overnight studies, respond to sleep events and emergencies.
• Score sleep studies and generate detailed reports following guidelines.
• Educate patients on sleep disorders, PAP therapy, and equipment use.
• Ensure equipment functionality, infection control, and accurate documentation within EMR.
• Participate in quality improvement and professional development activities.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) credential.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 3 months of hire.
• Preferred:
  Graduate of an accredited polysomnography program and prior sleep study experience.
