Speech Language Pathologist

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients for swallowing disorders and communication/cognitive impairments using evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
• Establish treatment goals and develop and implement Speech Pathology treatment programs based on full clinical evaluations.
• Provide rehabilitative services under specific medical orders as part of a coordinated team.
• Participate in clinical conferences to share and coordinate patient plans of care.
• Treat residents one-on-one through private, individualized sessions using a functional-based treatment approach.
• Deliver personalized therapeutic and rehabilitative care to senior living residents to improve quality of life.

• Masters Degree from an accredited graduate program in speech language pathology school.
• Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist / SLP, or ability to obtain prior to beginning employment.
• Excellent interpersonal, fiscal, and clinical skills.
• Minimum commitment of 8 hours per month to maintain active employment.

Demonstrates expertise in evaluating and treating patients with swallowing disorders and communication impairments, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques. Proficient in developing and implementing individualized treatment programs to enhance the quality of life for senior living residents.
