Assistant
Executive Housekeeper
Location: Double Tree by Hilton, Springfield MO
- Assists in supervising the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department, including room attendants, house persons, and laundry attendants.
- Supports the Executive Housekeeper in maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and presentation standards for guest rooms, public areas, laundry, and back-of-house areas.
- Conducts routine inspections of guest rooms and hotel areas to ensure compliance with hotel brand and company standards.
- Assists with training, coaching, and developing housekeeping team members on cleaning procedures, safety standards, guest service expectations, and departmental policies.
- Promotes and delivers world-class guest service by responding promptly and professionally to guest requests, concerns, and special needs.
- Helps create daily room assignments and assists with staffing coverage to ensure operational efficiency.
- Monitors housekeeping productivity and quality standards to ensure department goals are met.
- Assists with inventory management, including ordering, tracking, and maintaining housekeeping supplies, linens, and guest amenities.
- Ensures the proper use and maintenance of housekeeping equipment and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
- Maintains compliance with all company policies, hotel procedures, OSHA guidelines, and safety and sanitation standards.
- Assists with scheduling, payroll review, attendance tracking, and timecard accuracy as directed.
- Supports department communication through daily shift meetings and ongoing team engagement.
- Works closely with the Front Desk and Maintenance teams to ensure guest rooms are ready and maintenance issues are addressed timely.
- Assists in maintaining lost and found procedures in accordance with company policy.
- Leads by example in professionalism, appearance, attendance, and teamwork.
- Performs housekeeping duties as needed to support operational demands and guest satisfaction.
- Embraces O’Reach, OHX Experience, Green Team, Guest Service, Team Member Satisfaction, Health & Wellness, and Safety culture.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong leadership, management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to deliver results.
- Ability to work well with and motivate a variety of personality types while maintaining tact and diplomacy.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
Education & Experience:
- Two years of experience in housekeeping as a room attendant/housekeeper or Assistant Executive Housekeeper, with two years of supervisory experience in a commercial environment preferred.
- A minimum of 1 year in a housekeeping role; hotel experience preferred.
- A minimum High School education or GED; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
