Full-Time | Exempt | Monday–Friday
Salary: $65,000–$75,000 annually
- Provide leadership and oversight of the Human Resources and Training functions.
- Supervise HR and Training staff, including the Training Coordinator.
- Oversee recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and pre-employment compliance.
- Ensure required employee trainings, certifications, and recertifications are completed and properly documented.
- Provide guidance to leadership regarding employee relations, performance management, corrective action, and employment practices.
- Administer employee benefits, FMLA and other leave programs, workers' compensation, unemployment, and ADA accommodation processes.
- Maintain accurate personnel records and HR information within APLUS, Therap, and other HR systems.
- Conduct routine employee file and training compliance audits and maintain HR records in a state of audit readiness.
- Participate in and support DMH and other regulatory audits.
- Monitor HR metrics, identify trends and areas of concern, and recommend improvements.
- Promptly communicate significant HR, training, employee relations, and compliance concerns to Executive Leadership.
- Ensure HR policies and practices remain compliant with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Serve as a backup trainer and provide HR-related training as needed.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field is highly preferred;
an equivalent combination of education and relevant HR experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. - Minimum of three years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience required.
- Supervisory or HR leadership experience strongly preferred.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification required, or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.
- Experience working in intellectual/developmental disability services or another regulated human-services environment is highly preferred.
- Experience with Department of Mental Health regulations highly preferred.
- Working knowledge of FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, workers' compensation, unemployment, benefits administration, and other applicable employment laws and HR practices.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and sound judgment.
- Ability to effectively prioritize responsibilities, meet deadlines, and maintain accountability in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and required automobile insurance.
The HR Director must be, or be willing and able to become, a certified instructor in American Red Cross First Aid/CPR and Mandt Crisis Prevention and De-Escalation to provide backup training when needed.

This is a full-time, exempt position
, generally Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Flexibility may occasionally be required based on employee schedules, investigations, trainings, meetings, or other Human Resources needs.
