Medical Consulting Group (MCG) is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist & HR Administrator to join our growing team.
This position serves as the primary backup to our Payroll Administrator and supports payroll operations for MCG and multiple client organizations. Payroll is the primary focus of this role, with additional responsibilities supporting benefits administration, onboarding, and other HR functions.
We are specifically seeking someone with Paycom experience, experience processing payroll for multiple entities or companies, and a desire to build a long-term career with our organization.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Administration (Primary Focus)
- Support payroll processing for multiple companies and client organizations using Paycom.
- Serve as the primary backup to the Payroll Administrator.
- Review and audit payroll data, time records, deductions, garnishments, and employee changes for accuracy.
- Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee payroll inquiries.
- Assist with payroll reporting, reconciliations, audits, compliance requirements, and year-end activities.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation.
Human Resources Support
- Assist with onboarding and recruiting activities.
- Support benefits administration, annual benefits renewals, open enrollment, and leave administration.
- Maintain employee records and HRIS data.
- Assist with special HR projects and other HR-related responsibilities as needed.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of payroll processing experience
. - Experience processing payroll for multiple entities, companies, or client groups
. - Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to payroll accuracy.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting HR functions including onboarding, benefits administration, annual benefits renewals, open enrollment, recruiting, and leave administration.
- Knowledge of payroll tax requirements, wage and hour laws, and payroll compliance.
- Experience working in healthcare, consulting, professional services, or a multi-client environment.
