In this role, you will be responsible for guiding the Consumer Tax product management process and ensuring the effectiveness of the Consumer Tax Product Team. You will have program management responsibility of large strategic initiatives to help drive the success of our Consumer Tax initiatives. You will bring together experience in business strategy and vision, process management, product management and people management to drive success.
You will be part of a team that believes in working fast, being accountable, and learning from mistakes. In addition, this role will lead our Digital Analytics and Experimentation capability, ensuring data fidelity, experimentation rigor, and actionable insights are embedded across product development. This includes establishing enterprise standards for analytics and testing, scaling experimentation practices, and enabling product teams to make confident, data driven decisions.
to day, you'll
- Guide and mentor a team of product leaders to develop strategies, metrics, and backlogs while setting a superior standard for quality and delivery of a customer centric product
- Work cross-functionally to drive improvement around the way we work leveraging the principles of Lean, Agile, and Dev Ops to minimize waste and maximize speed to value for our customers
- Codify, standardize, and evangelize product development best practices across teams
- Evangelize and lead our adoption with our Block Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Establish metrics and standards for measuring velocity and success of product initiatives
- Establish and evolve processes, working practices, and tools utilized by the Product Team
- Coordinate across key Director level resources on the most critical projects, objectives and milestones to ensure departmental success
- Enable an environment of curiosity, continuous improvement, urgency, and respect
- Collaborate and influence with technical, product, and design, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and plan for future needs
- Communicate product strategy, impact and risks to leadership and stakeholders
- Provide strategic leadership and governance for digital analytics and experimentation across Consumer Tax products, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and business objectives
- Lead and develop a Digital Analytics & Experimentation team, including management of a Lead Program Manager responsible for execution, tooling, and operational excellence
- Establish and scale experimentation best practices, success metrics, and validation standards to ensure trusted data and meaningful insights
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing, and Risk teams to integrate experimentation and analytics into product discovery, delivery, and optimization workflows
- You will report directly to the VP, Digital Tax Products and work closely with a team of Product Leaders.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or the equivalent through a combination of education and work experience. MBA or Master’s Degree preferred.
