We are seeking a hands-on IT Manager to take ownership of our internal technology environment. This role ensures day-to-day systems operate reliably while helping the company build a stable, scalable foundation for long-term growth.

This position reports directly to ownership/executive leadership.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Operational Reliability- Oversee Windows-based systems and Microsoft 365
- Maintain network infrastructure (firewall, switches, internet services)
- Administer VoIP phone systems and building security systems
- Ensure reliable backups and disaster recovery readiness
- Manage user onboarding and offboarding
- Troubleshoot issues quickly to minimize downtime
- Serve as internal owner and administrator of the Pick D3 system
- Maintain stability, reporting capability, and workflow support
- Ensure system reliability and documentation
- Identify practical automation opportunities
- Improve reporting and data visibility
- Reduce manual processes where appropriate
- Document systems and procedures to reduce key‑person dependency
- Stay current with relevant technologies and evaluate them pragmatically
- Maintain patching, endpoint protection, and access controls
- Strengthen MFA and security best practices
- Support cyber insurance compliance requirements
- Monitor risk exposure and recommend mitigation steps
- Manage relationships with external IT service providers and technology vendors
- Leverage outside expertise where appropriate to strengthen security, infrastructure, and modernization efforts
- Evaluate vendor performance and cost effectiveness
- Determine which technology functions are best handled internally versus through trusted external partners
- Ensure accountability for outcomes regardless of sourcing model
- Develop a practical 3–5 year IT roadmap aligned with business goals
- Ensure systems scale efficiently to support operational growth
- Participate in budgeting and technology investment decisions
- Strengthen documentation and process maturity
- Evaluate modernization initiatives based on risk, cost, and operational impact
- 5–10+ years of hands‑on IT experience
- Experience supporting small‑to‑mid‑sized business environments
- Strong knowledge of Windows systems and Microsoft 365
- Networking and infrastructure management experience
- Experience supporting ERP or legacy database systems
- Ability to operate independently and prioritize effectively
- Experience with Pick D3 or similar legacy platforms
- Manufacturing or industrial environment experience
- Experience participating in ERP or system migration projects
- Practical problem‑solver
- Comfortable in a hands‑on manufacturing environment
- Values stability but embraces thoughtful modernization
- Strong communicator with non‑technical leadership
- Takes ownership and follows through
- Interested in building long‑term capability, not just maintaining status quo
