IT Telecom / Telephony Technician – Cisco Modernization Project
Support enterprise telecom modernization initiatives involving the migration from Avaya telephony systems to Cisco Unified Communications platforms across multiple locations. Responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting Cisco IP telephony and VoIP infrastructure to ensure reliable communication services and successful migration activities.
Key Responsibilities- Deploy, configure, and support Cisco IP phones and VoIP technologies
- Assist with migration activities from Avaya to Cisco Unified Communications platforms
- Support Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) environments and telecom infrastructure
- Troubleshoot voice, network, and connectivity issues related to telephony systems
- Perform telecom cutovers, extension migrations, device provisioning, and post-deployment support
- Collaborate with network engineers, project managers, vendors, and field support teams during implementation activities
- Install and maintain telecom hardware, structured cabling, and related network components
- Provide end-user technical support, training, and issue resolution for telephony services
- Document system configurations, migration activities, inventory, and support procedures
- Ensure minimal operational disruption during telecom deployment and modernization efforts
