Data Analyst, Business Systems/ Tech Analyst
Role Description
We are seeking an EDI Operations Specialist who will take ownership of ensuring the accuracy and integrity of EDI data. The role includes validating and analyzing claims data, partnering with internal stakeholders and external TPAs to investigate and resolve anomalies, leading root‑cause investigations, implementing corrective solutions, and providing guidance to peers while maintaining client‑specific coding, mapping, and cross‑reference data. Your work will directly impact the quality of production EDI data, supporting underwriting, claims and risk management initiatives.
Employment TypeNon‑exempt: employees are required to clock in and out for all hours worked and are eligible for overtime pay for hours over 40 per workweek.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
- Presently authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship
- Hybrid work schedule: minimum 3 days per week in our St. Louis Corporate Office (1832 Schuetz Rd., Saint Louis, MO). Employees must submit work‑from‑home requests and follow the Work From Home policy.
- One of the following combinations of education and insurance industry experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business analytics, data analytics, data science, computer science, or related field
- At least 2 years of experience in a data and/or operations role
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong organizational, technical, and communication skills
- Ability to solve complex data issues and work independently in a fast‑paced environment
- 4 or more years of experience in a data and/or operations role
- Experience with EDI processing or claims systems
- Familiarity with policy/client data validation processes
- Demonstrated ability to train and guide team members
The target base salary range for this position is $53,500 to $69,000. Actual compensation will consider the candidate’s knowledge, skills, competencies, experience and geographic location.
