Hybrid Cloud Platform Engineer

Position Description

Valiant Solutions is seeking a Top Secret Cleared Hybrid Cloud Platform Engineer
to join our rapidly growing and innovative cybersecurity team!

As a Hybrid Cloud Platform Engineer, you will work together as a team to support innovative design, engineering, procurement, implementation, operations, sustainment and disposal of user facing and data center information technology (IT) services on multiple networks and security domains.

This position is 100% onsite in Springfield, VA or St. Louis, MO.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 5-8 years Developer experience.
• Meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements including one of the following:
  Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA.

Desired Experience

• Experience deploying and managing Red Hat Open Shift in a cloud and/or vSphere environment.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services.
• Python, Shell scripting, Git.
• Linux distributions: RHEL/RHCOS, CentOS.
• CI/CD orchestration tools:
  Git Lab CI, Jenkins.
• Container technology:
  Docker, Kubernetes, and Cloud Native Computing Foundation ecosystem in general.

Responsibilities

• Supports Open Shift operators and frameworks including Crossplane, Kyverno, Red Hat Git Ops.
• Deploys Open Shift to new sites as they come online.
• Works with internal and external teams to understand integration requirements and scale existing platforms to meet them.
• Works with Security to ensure ongoing compliance and develop secure solutions.
• Supports data services including Rabbit
  
  MQ, Redis, Postgre
  
  SQL, Elastic Stack.
• Compiles detailed documentation.
