The department supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services, including building management and maintenance, information technology, centralized contracting and procurement, budget and financial management, space planning and leasing, construction management, motor vehicle fleet operations, and oversight of the state retirement systems.
About the PositionThis position serves as an analyst performing a wide range of professional assignments in an Information Technology environment. Serving as a technical expert, the analyst provides problem diagnosis, implementation, administration, support and maintenance of computer hardware, software and network products. The analyst provides on‑site or remote access diagnosis and resolution of computer hardware and software problems using a highly integrated and specialized set of diagnostic tools with elevated privileges.
The position also serves to lead, coordinate and oversee teams that work on processes, procedures and technical specifications; plan, design and oversee analytical and technical assignments and the implementation of computer hardware, software and network components.
- Provide problem diagnosis, implementation, administration, support and maintenance of computer hardware, software, and network products.
- Diagnose and resolve computer hardware and software problems on‑site or remotely using integrated diagnostic tools.
- Lead, coordinate, and oversee teams working on processes, procedures, technical specifications, analytical and technical assignments.
- Plan, design, and oversee implementation of computer hardware, software and network components.
- Bachelor's degree with 21 semester (32 term) credits in computer science, data processing, computer information systems, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, information assurance, IT project management or mathematics.
- No specific type or amount of experience required.
- Alternate education:
Associate's degree with 16 semester credits in the same fields and two years of experience as an application programmer, computer operator, or IT technician, or IT student assistant. - Or high school completion and four years of experience as an IT professional or four years of experience as an IT student assistant.

- Position may be eligible for a sign‑on bonus up to $2,500. Not applicable to current state employees.
- Certification in specific IT programs may be required.
