Senior Systems Engineer in Springfield

Job Description

In order to join the ELEVI team you will need:

• Must have:
  Power Edge Rack/Tower Experience, RHEL and Ubuntu OS, Experience working in a larger server environment.
• Nice to have:
  Power Edge XE server experience.

• Support day‑to‑day data center activities.
• Proactively walk the data center during the day, watching and alerting the customer of amber lights, hot doors, etc.
• Escort dispatched field engineers when applicable.
• Manage LOIS parts (will be trained onsite).
• Maintain documentation of the environment: serial numbers, elevations, runbooks, etc.
• Coordinate with the customer for any maintenance activities: power maintenance, cooling maintenance, containment wall maintenance, etc.
• Coordinate with non‑Dell support teams on the customer's behalf to help drive issue resolution.
• Perform BIOS lifecycle management: adding users, patching.
• Triage with Dell support for scheduling FSE break/fix activities.
• Work at the direction of the customer team to update versions as needed.
• Resource must be onsite 5 days a week; there are no exceptions.

Training:
After a candidate is selected, they will be required to complete the Dell XE Server training via Tech Direct. The partner company must submit the access request promptly so the student can get started. The plan is for the student to complete 45 hours of training during the background check period, and this must be finished before the start date.

• Strong networking fundamentals and troubleshooting.

• SAP platform, SAP Basis, or SAP HANA exposure.
• Git Ops and release automation.
• Security hardening and compliance automation.
• Stateful workload support in Kubernetes.
• Hybrid cloud and enterprise network architecture experience.
• Runbook and technical documentation ownership.

The proposed salary range for this position is 80,000–100,000. Salary is influenced by factors such as geographic location, contract category, experience, skills, education, and certifications.
