Please Read: This is a 6 month contract to hire position with a fortune 500 company. During the contract period, you can work remotely, but once you convert to a full-time employee, you will be required to work onsite in Springfield, MO.

Google Cloud Platform Engineer
Capstone IT is helping our client to find a Google Cloud Platform Engineer who will work with a small team to design, implement, and manage Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure while helping drive the organization's cloud adoption strategy. This individual will build and optimize CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure deployments, support cloud migrations, and ensure secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud environments.
Top 4 Skills- Terraform & Infrastructure as Code
- Kubernetes (GKE) & Cloud Architecture
- Design and deploy cloud solutions using GCP services such as Compute Engine, GKE, and Cloud Run.
- Build, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Lead cloud adoption and migration initiatives.
- Automate infrastructure using Terraform or Deployment Manager.
- Monitor performance, security, and cloud spending.
- Troubleshoot cloud-related issues and support application teams.
- Document cloud environments, processes, and configurations.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10+ years of IT experience.
- 8+ years of cloud engineering experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on GCP experience.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience leading cloud migration and adoption efforts.
- Strong Terraform, Kubernetes, Python, and Bash skills.
- Knowledge of networking and cloud security.
