The Corporate Trainer is responsible for developing and delivering technical training programs that support dealer technician proficiency in company products, systems, and tools. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to create engaging learning experiences that improve operational effectiveness, product knowledge and user adoption. The purpose of dealer training is to develop technicians skilled in DMP products and services that will ultimately increase dealer sales with DMP.

While the primary focus is customer training, the position may also support occasional internal training initiatives.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Training & Development, Information Technology, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience delivering technical training, corporate training, or software/product education.
  • Strong ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience developing instructional materials and training documentation.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS), virtual training platforms, and e-learning tools.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and facilitation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience working with internal software tools, enterprise systems, or technical products.
  • Ability to adapt training approaches based on audience needs and learning styles.
  • Customer training or customer-facing communication experience is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications in training, instructional design, or technical platforms are a plus.
  • Be punctual, maintain a positive work attitude, and work cooperatively with others in the department and company.
  • Accept and benefit from constructive criticism.
  • Any other relevant, equivalent combination of training and experience.
Typical

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and deliver engaging training programs for dealer technicians on DMP products, systems, and tools.
  • Facilitate instructor-led training sessions, virtual workshops, webinars, and hands-on learning activities.
  • Facilitate product demonstrations to dealers and end users, as needed.
  • Create and maintain training materials, including presentations, user guides, e-learning modules, knowledge base content, and job aids.
  • Assess training effectiveness through evaluations, feedback, knowledge checks, and performance metrics.
  • Partner with subject matter experts, product teams, and operations leaders to ensure training content remains accurate and current.
  • Support new product education and continuous learning initiatives for new and existing dealers.
  • Identify skill gaps and recommend training solutions to improve dealer technician product knowledge and efficiency.
  • Provide occasional internal training sessions to support product adoption and user success.
  • Stay current on company technologies, software updates, and industry best practices to continuously improve training programs.
  • Manage training schedules, attendance records, and learning documentation within the company’s learning management system (LMS).
  • Observe and adhere to DMP Data Classification Standard.
  • Observe company policies and continuously strive to identify processes that improve efficiency while maintaining conformance to requirements.
  • Perform related duties or fill in for others in the department or other departments when requested. May train or instruct fellow workers regarding own duties.
  • Contribute to team efforts by performing other duties as assigned. Job duties are subject to change as directed by management.
