Senior Project Manager

Capstone IT is partnering with a Fortune 500 client to identify an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead two strategic retail technology initiatives focused on Rebate Management and Promotion Systems.

This is a highly visible role where you'll drive enterprise software delivery in an Agile environment, partnering with Scrum teams, business stakeholders, technical leadership, and third-party vendors to ensure successful project execution. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who excels at removing obstacles, aligning cross-functional teams, and delivering complex technology initiatives from planning through implementation.

What You'll Do

• Lead the successful delivery of two large-scale retail technology initiatives.
• Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, and milestones.
• Coordinate multiple Agile Scrum teams, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and technical leads.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between business and IT teams.
• Identify, track, and manage project dependencies, risks, issues, and decisions.
• Drive sprint and release planning activities while supporting Agile best practices.
• Monitor project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Manage third-party vendor engagements and project deliverables.
• Prepare and present project status updates for stakeholders and executive leadership.
• Proactively identify roadblocks and partner with teams to remove impediments.
• Balance Agile delivery with enterprise project governance and reporting requirements.
• Adapt project plans as business priorities evolve while maintaining delivery momentum.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience with 7+ years serving as a Project Manager.
• Proven success leading complex software development projects within Agile environments.
• Strong experience working with:
• Product Owners
• Technical Leads
• Business Stakeholders
• Deep understanding of:
• Sprint Planning
• Release Planning
• Experience coordinating multiple Agile teams and managing cross-team dependencies.
• Budgets
• Risks and issues
• Executive communications
• Experience delivering projects across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with Atlassian Jira
• Experience with Confluence
• Experience using Smartsheet
• Rebate Management systems
• Promotion Management systems
• Pricing or Price Optimization initiatives
• Understanding of strategic pricing methodologies and customer/store segmentation
