Description:
The IT Field Support Technician provides technical support for end user hardware and software needs, including project-based support onsite. The position provides routine, technical support and maintenance for desktop, laptop, telephony, and network systems including hardware, application software, operating systems, and connectivity. In addition, the role is responsible for troubleshooting issues and documenting resolution with support as needed while also repairing or replacing defective equipment with support as needed.
Responsibilities include knowledge transfer forums to identify and resolve problems and contribute to all phases of support, including coordination, monitoring, tracking, and resolution related to installations, upgrades, software, hardware, operating systems, and operating system configuration issues.
Education:
• Preferred:
Associate degree in healthcare information technology, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Experience:
•
Required:
Minimum of 1-3 years healthcare or IT-related work experience OR Associate degree in healthcare information technology, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Skills:
Knowledge of computer hardware Exceptional written and oral communication skills Exceptional interpersonal skills Understanding of TCP/IP based networking Work well with minimal supervision showing clear direction and initiative
