Barnes Jewish Hospital is seeking a Sr Supply Distribution Technician.

Schedule:

8:30 AM-5 PM M-F

• Freight Handling:
  Unload inbound freight, ensuring safe and efficient processing of packages.
• Package Processing:
  Process packages according to BJC receiving guidelines, ensuring compliance with established protocols.
• Freight Staging:
  Stage inbound and outbound freight for efficient workflow and distribution.
• Campus Deliveries:
  Perform timely direct deliveries to various departments across campus.
• Communication:
  Communicate effectively with departments via email or Microsoft Teams chat to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues.
• Discrepancy Documentation:
  Identify and document freight discrepancies, ensuring accurate reporting.
• RTV Processing:
  Complete Return to Vendor (RTV) forms as needed, following company procedures.
• Additional Duties:
  Perform other related tasks as assigned to support the receiving department's operations.

Oversees daily management of medical material (supplies, equipment, and linen) for multiple departments throughout the hospital and/or network. Primary duties include supply room and warehouse cleaning and organization, department customer service, reviewing item par levels and usage with department leadership, bin optimization, material ordering, receiving and stocking, assisting with manufacturer recall notifications/usage investigations, and aiding in training new Supply Technicians.

• Able to apply lean supply philosophy, performs basic analytics using Microsoft products and other tools available through supply chain management systems.
• Performs material receiving functions verifying correct items, quantities, processing receipts in the inventory management computer system, processing RTVs, tagging/labeling and staging items for delivery.
• Review reports, collaborate with department staff to adjust par levels, coordinate opportunities for improvement, implement and maintain standardized community supply model, assist with JIT room audits.
• Processes stock/non-stock orders in the inventory management systems, coordinates with procurement to resolve order issues, RTVs, discrepancies, match exceptions, recalls and returns to vendor.
• Provides daily oversight of material functions while ensuring a safety focused environment complying with BJC, OSHA, Joint Commission standards and performs housekeeping functions in supply rooms.
