Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a robust commodity strategy based on market and technology trends.
  • Maintain sourcing pipeline and Business Over Time, benchmarking data, CT strategy presentations, global budget and on-time metrics for the entire CT.
  • Manage global Creativity Team and ECT meetings with support and collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute a business plan to meet material performance goals.
  • Support global counterparts to address operational issues and align the global strategy for future programs and supplier management.
  • Keep abreast of trends that impact the CT—be it market, technology or changes in the supply base.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate and unit purchasing and accounting practices and procedures for yourself and the larger team.
  • Utilize the GPSC sourcing process to manage sourcing packages (RFQ, Quote Analysis and Source Selection) and to establish a capable/competitive global supply base.
  • Analyze and apply appropriate tools, i.e., benchmarking, global competitive sourcing, value chain analysis, supplier negotiations, engineering change cost containment, technical cost reduction, part/system reuse, etc.
Requirements
  • 5+ years relevant work experience in purchasing, supply chain, program/product management, logistics or product development (any internship or co‑op experience will not be considered).
  • Ability to travel 15% of time, both domestically and internationally.
  • Proficient in completing tasks autonomously, without coaching.
  • Data judgement – Ability to objectively analyze data and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Informative communication – Ability to communicate relevant information to the appropriate audience both effectively and timely.
  • Relationship management – Develops and maintains constructive, cooperative working relationships.
