Operations Manager, Program / Project Manager
Position Summary
The Manager of Regional Distribution will be responsible for the leadership of Factory Distribution Centers (FDCs) and Ecommerce DCs across multiple sites. This leader will oversee the day-to-day operations as well as the strategic direction for their organization. They will ensure operational KPI’s are met, develop site teams, and work with Central Operations, Manufacturing, Procurement, Finance, Technology and S&OP teams on strategic initiatives across the enterprise.
This position is located at our Springfield, MO site, with occasional travel required to other sites.
- Oversee and effectively manage an organization that consists of FDC and Ecommerce sites.
- Create and oversee employee evaluation metrics and methods.
- Ensure distribution operations meet financial goals and objectives.
- Conduct budget reviews across all sites and report findings weekly and monthly.
- Review and implement company policies and procedures related to distribution and customer fulfillment.
- Support HR with staff management, hiring, termination, and disciplinary actions.
- Support distribution managers in goal setting, managing employees, and improving efficiency across multiple sites.
- Identify more cost-efficient ways to do business, set and execute department and company-wide budgets, and forecast efforts.
- Improve the total spend of supplies, labor, and transportation costs within their organization.
- Ensure strict adherence to all Real Truck Distribution standards/methods.
- Live the Real Truck Values and drive it within the team.
- Lead, develop and motivate shift employees.
- Ensure department milestones/goals are met.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role within a distribution organization is required.
- Experience managing a salaried workforce across multiple disciplines is preferred.
- Experience managing a large remote/virtual team is preferred.
- Skills, Abilities, And Knowledge
- Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Knowledge of distribution and supply chain concepts and product flow.
- Proven track record of driving continuous improvement.
- Prior experience managing cross-functional relationships.
Up to 15% travel is required between sites.
