SECO (Springfield Engineering Company) is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Manager to lead and grow our established service department. This leadership role is responsible for driving innovation, implementing process and software improvements, expanding service sales, and enhancing operational efficiency.
The successful candidate will oversee our team of experienced service technicians while strengthening long-standing relationships with our loyal commercial customer base. We are looking for a motivated leader who can bring fresh ideas, strengthen customer service, develop new business opportunities, and position our service department for continued growth and success.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the day-to-day operations of the commercial HVAC service department.
- Oversee and ensure all service calls are properly scheduled and coordinated.
- Supervise completed work orders for accuracy, quality, and profitability.
- Oversee technician performance, productivity, and billable hours.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with commercial customers.
- Manage all preventative maintenance agreements to ensure they are executed accurately and on time.
- Oversee warranty claims, callbacks, and quality assurance efforts.
- Collaborate with our team and make targeted sales calls to identify service agreement and equipment replacement opportunities.
- Collaborate with recruiting and onboarding efforts of service personnel.
- Promote a positive team culture focused on accountability, communication, and continuous improvement.
- Support and reinforce the company's safety expectations across all service activities and job sites.
- Minimum of 5 years of commercial HVAC service experience.
- Leadership or management experience in commercial HVAC service.
- Strong technical knowledge of commercial HVAC equipment, controls, refrigeration, boilers, chillers, and rooftop systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with service management software and Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to visit job sites, including climbing ladders and accessing rooftops when necessary.
