Line Superintendent
Full-Time, Salary, Sunrise Beach , MO
We're looking for an experienced utility leader to oversee the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our electric distribution system. As Line Superintendent, you'll lead and develop line crews, coordinate construction, maintenance, and outage restoration activities, and help ensure exceptional service for our members. The ideal candidate is a safety-focused leader who enjoys mentoring others, solving challenges, and keeping the lights on for the communities we serve.
On a regular basis you will:
- Provide guidance on necessary activities in the maintenance and construction of energized and de-energized overhead and underground distribution lines.
- Plan and assign daily work activities.
- Supervise line maintenance and develop/implement line maintenance programs.
- Conduct crew and work order inspections to ensure safety, efficiency, and quality.
- Patrol lines for unsafe or hazardous conditions and make necessary corrections.
- Directs line operations during outages, storms, and emergency situations, coordinating restoration efforts and load switching to ensure safe and timely service restoration.
We are looking for:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 7–10 years of electric utility experience, including distribution construction, maintenance, outage restoration, and line crew leadership.
- Experience overseeing the construction, operation, and maintenance of overhead and underground distribution systems.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills with a passion for developing employees and building high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to effectively lead in challenging or high-pressure situations.
- Commitment to safety, operational excellence, and providing exceptional service to our members.
The Line Superintendent is required to reside no more than 40 minutes (as computed by Google Maps and verified by the Manager of Operations) from the office to which they are assigned.
