Axiom is seeking an VP of Claims Operations to join our leadership team and lead the next evolution of our claims organization.

Axiom Product Administration is a leading provider of vehicle service contracts, home warranties, and related protection products. We partner with dealerships, lenders, and service providers nationwide to deliver exceptional customer experiences through operational excellence, trusted partnerships, and innovative solutions.

This is an opportunity to shape strategy, improve operational performance, and build scalable systems that drive business results. As a key member of the leadership team, you'll play a significant role in helping guide the future of our organization.

About the Role

This isn’t a “keep things running” role. We’re looking for a leader who can build on a strong foundation and elevate how claims operations are managed across our mechanical and home warranty business.

Success in this role requires balancing strategic leadership with operational execution. You'll serve as the face of Claims within the organization, leading escalated issues, strengthening vendor partnerships, using data to identify opportunities, and creating systems that improve consistency, efficiency, and business performance.

As our business and technology continue to evolve, we're looking for a leader who embraces innovation and is motivated to partner with technology teams to improve automation, streamline workflows, and implement thoughtful human-in-the-loop processes that enhance both efficiency and decision quality.

This role sits at the center of operational impact. Success directly influences loss ratio, customer experience, operational stability, and executive decision-making. Whether you're an experienced executive or a high-performing leader ready for your next step, we're looking for someone who is eager to build, innovate, and make a lasting impact on our business.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the overall claims operation while serving as a member of the leadership team.
  • Own escalated customer, vendor, and operational issues requiring executive-level decision making.
  • Build and strengthen strategic vendor relationships and hold partners accountable for performance.
  • Analyze operational metrics, identify trends, and create meaningful reporting and KPI dashboards.
  • Partner with technology teams to identify opportunities for automation, workflow optimization, AI-enabled reporting, and scalable operational improvements while maintaining appropriate human oversight.
  • Design and implement scalable claims processes, systems, and operational improvements.
  • Drive consistency across the full claims lifecycle while improving loss ratio, decision quality, and cycle times.
  • Lead, coach, and develop leaders while creating a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, Sales, and Leadership on strategic initiatives.
Qualifications

This could be a great fit if you:

Required Skills
  • Proven experience leading managers and operational teams within a claims, insurance, risk management, or service organization.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with a passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing future leaders.
  • Experience owning operational performance, establishing KPIs, and presenting results and recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Demonstrated success improving operational performance through process redesign, workflow optimization, and data-driven decision making.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships, executive escalations, and cross-functional business initiatives.
Preferred Skills
  • Background in Property & Casualty insurance, commercial insurance, automotive claims, warranty/service contracts, or third-party claims administration.
  • Experience partnering with technology teams to improve automation, reporting, workflow, or AI-enabled business processes.
  • Familiarity with risk management, regulatory environments, quality assurance, or claims governance.
  • Experience leading organizational change and implementing scalable operational systems.

This is a hybrid leadership role requiring four days per week onsite
