Warranty Technician; Springfield MO

The Warranty Technician will be responsible for the disassembly and analysis of parts and components returned under warranty. The primary function is to verify the dealer’s complaint and determine the root cause of the failure. Properly photographing and documenting details are key. Must be able to work closely with production staff as well as Product and Quality Engineers. Must be able to work in a clean and well-organized manner.

Must work with the safety department to ensure all local, state, and federal regulatory agencies requirements are met, OSHA 1910, NFPA, DNR.

• Develop a working knowledge of CNH Reman products to support troubleshooting, analysis, and repair activities.
• Diagnose and disassemble a variety of parts and components, including but not limited to, engines and components, hydraulics, electronics, driveline, fuel, and turbo components.
• Document the disassembly and failure analysis of warranty parts and components.
• Ability to support testing and troubleshooting non-conforming parts.
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools as well as overhead cranes and equipment in a correct and safe manner.
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with all departments.
• Operate measuring instruments, borescope, camera, computer, copy machine, and telephone.
• Support 5S initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned to achieve department and business KPI goals.

• High School Diploma or HiSet (Formerly GED)
• 3+ years of on-the-job experience as a technician diagnosing and repairing machinery
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Regular, predictable, and reliable attendance
• Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions, correspondence, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Globally Harmonized System (GHS) labels, Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
• Possess basic PC skills, and have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Must wear all personal protective equipment PPE, and be able to work in hearing conservation areas as needed
• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, climb, bend, stooping, twist, reach, reach overhead.
• Must be able to push, pull, lift 0-30 lbs. frequently, and 30-50 lbs. occasionally.

• Certificate from a vocational or technical school.
• Experience with failure analysis.
• Experience in a machine shop to interpret prints, and  measure key features
