Machine Operator, Manufacturing Production, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Employees in this classification are required to have a basic understanding and competency in machine shop operations.
Essential Job Functions- Setup and operate CNC and/or manual machine tools such as lathes, mills, punching equipment
- Ability to review and understand drawings, specifications, tolerances
- Ability to machine surfaces within .005 consistently
- Setup and operate shear, brake and roll for routine and complex projects
- Plan the sequence of machining and finishing on routine projects
- Inspect parts to specifications on drawings using employee owned measuring tools
- Ability to read and understand basic measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, depth gages, etc.
- Operate pipe bending equipment without help from others
- Program, setup, operate and maintain waterjet machining center
- The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
- Regular, in-person attendance due to necessary teamwork and personal interactive nature of this position
- Overtime is a mandatory condition of employment and frequent in this position
- Knowledge of Paul Mueller Company general work procedures in regards to marking and tagging material with proper work order number and heat codes as required
- Advanced blueprint reading knowledge
- Advanced math skills
- HS diploma or GED equivalent
- Previous Machine Shop experience or related technical training
Base Compensation Range: $22.25 - $26.25 per hour
Shift Differential: 10%
Variable Compensation Range: Incentive bonus eligibility up to 12% of gross annual salary base on company performance.

Exposure to conditions, such as: dust, fumes, noise and high-degree varying seasonal temperatures. Machinery with energy sources including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, chemical, or other energy.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, handle, grasp or feel; reach with hands and arms climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Additional effort requirements consist of, but are not limited to, lifting, pushing and pulling material, stairs, and ladders. When there is an occasion to move heavy material greater than 50 pounds, the operator will request assistance from another operator, or utilize provided lifting equipment.
