The Motor Line Lead is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the motor production and packaging lines to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and workflow expectations are consistently met. This role provides hands‑on leadership, coordinates daily work assignments, assists with training, monitors production flow, and helps drive accountability and continuous improvement across the department. This is an on‑site hourly position that requires a daily presence at our Rector Seal Earth City, MO facility from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Lead daily activities on the motor production and packaging lines.
- Support associates with workflow direction, problem‑solving, and operational needs.
- Help ensure production schedules and daily output goals are achieved.
- Monitor line flow and elevate material, equipment, staffing, or quality concerns when needed.
- Assist with training new associates on standard work, safety, and quality expectations.
- Promote safe work practices and ensure associates follow company safety policies.
- Perform routine quality checks to ensure products are packaged and labeled correctly.
- Assist with inventory accuracy and material organization within the production area.
- Coordinate with leadership regarding staffing needs, priorities, and production concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and audit‑ready work area.
- Receive and unload trucks for the work area.
- Help drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Lead by example through professionalism, accountability, teamwork, and positive communication.
- 3+ years of previous warehouse, manufacturing, or production experience.
- Prior experience with WMS and basic computer skills.
- Prior leadership or lead experience.
- Forklift experience or certification.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic computer and system navigation skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and support multiple operational needs simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety expectations.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a warehouse environment. The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and talk or hear, and occasionally to use hands and fingers to type or dial, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and reach with hands and arms.
The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. This position requires computer use. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
