Job Description & Duties- Experience or willingness to learn gun, pump, and other equipment operations and make adjustments as trained to produce quality parts economically.
- Follow proper paint procedures, including distance from gun to part, flow rates, air pressure, and overlap.
- Load and move material to the work area.
- Clean and prepare the surface of the article to be painted.
- Apply masking tape over parts and areas that are not to be painted.
- Pour coating liquid into spray container and connect gun to air hose.
- Identify proper paint via structural information.
- Identify or learn to identify and troubleshoot paint defects.
- Inspect parts.
- Correctly rework parts with paint defects.
- Maintain a clean and properly functioning gun.
- Troubleshoot equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance as scheduled.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Collaborate with warehouse, production, and logistics teams to ensure efficient, safe loading and unloading operations.
- Ensure safe, timely loading and unloading processes.
- Stand and work on a concrete floor for 10‑hour shifts.
- Use hearing, vision, and verbal communication to interact with co‑workers.
- Use a computer screen to enter time and job data.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Experience with trucks under three tons (e.g., tractors and fork‑trucks), mobile crane equipment, and overhead cranes.
- Two years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- 10‑hour shift.
- Day shift or second shift.
- Monday to Friday.
Exposure to dust, fumes, noise, and varying seasonal temperatures. Machinery with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, chemical, or other energy sources.
Physical DemandsRegularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, handle, grasp or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Additional effort includes lifting, pushing, and pulling material, stairs, and ladders. If moving heavy material greater than 50 pounds, the operator will request assistance from another team member or use provided lifting equipment.
