Shift: Monday-Thursday 7am-5:30pm
Pay: $28-30/hr
Watson Custom Tanks is seeking a skilled Class A Welder/Fabricator to join our growing production team. This role focuses on high‑quality stainless steel tank fabrication using TIG and Pulsed MIG welding
. We are looking for a dependable, detail‑oriented professional who takes pride in craftsmanship and works well in a team environment.
- Perform high-quality TIG and Pulsed MIG welds with minimal defects
- Layout and fabricate tank components including heads and shells
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and measurements
- Use weld gauges and complete weld, heat code, and traveler documentation
- Operate hand tools, overhead cranes, and equipment safely
- Work in confined spaces as needed
- Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Support team members and assist with additional tasks as assigned
- 3–5 years of fabrication and stainless steel welding experience
- Ability to pass:
- 6G ASME pipe TIG test
- 2G ASME plate Pulsed MIG test
- 3G (downhill) ASME plate Pulsed MIG test
- Strong fabrication skills and mechanical aptitude
- Proficient with blueprints, tape measures, and weld symbols
- ASME shop experience preferred
- Welding certification preferred; high school diploma preferred, not required
- Highly dependable and quality-focused
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Professional communication with coworkers and leadership
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Bend, kneel, reach, and work in confined spaces
- Must wear safety glasses and steel‑toe boots
