Compensation: $90,000–$120,000+ (flexible for the right individual) + bonus + relocation assistance available
We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager / Fabrication Manager to lead operations at a growing steel and industrial fabrication facility located in Missouri.
This is a hands‑on leadership opportunity overseeing a busy custom fabrication operation supporting structural steel, miscellaneous metals, conveyors, crushers, mechanical equipment, and industrial projects across multiple markets. The facility specializes in complex, custom “one-off” fabrication work rather than commodity production.
The role is fully on‑site and requires a strong operational leader capable of driving production, accountability, quality, and safety throughout the shop.
Responsibilities- Oversee daily fabrication plant operations and production scheduling
- Lead and manage approximately 40+ shop/trade personnel
- Coordinate manpower, workflow, and shop priorities
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule
- Maintain strong quality control and fabrication standards
- Drive accountability, discipline, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Work closely with engineering, estimating, and operations leadership
- Maintain a clean, organized, and productive facility environment
- Anticipate production bottlenecks and proactively solve operational issues
- Experience leading operations within a structural steel or industrial fabrication facility
- Strong understanding of welding, fabrication, and shop operations
- Proven leadership experience managing shop personnel and schedules
- Experience with structural steel, miscellaneous metals, mechanical equipment, or heavy industrial fabrication preferred
- Ability to lead by example and operate in a fast‑paced custom fabrication environment
- Strong safety and quality mindset
- Stable employment history and willingness to work on‑site in Central Missouri
- Industrial/mechanical fabrication

- Custom fabrication/job shop environments
