Material Handler I
Reports to:
Warehouse Manager
FLSA Status:
Non-exempt
(12-hr rotating night shift - 6:00PM to 6:30AM)

Material Handler I
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for maintaining orders on the shipping and receiving dock area. The person in this position is responsible for inspecting, labeling, and processing products. The person occupying this position is responsible for checking product either cleaning for shipment or covering for storage.
Material Handler I Duties/Responsibilities:
• Assist Material Handlers by running and staging pallets
• Prepare product for placing in storage (cap and wrap)
• Complete "Extra Charge Sheets" on inbound and outbound orders
• Inspect received product to ensure that they are damage free
• Label case product accordingly for direct and client shipments
• Assist inventory control as needed
• Aid janitorial team as directed
• Organize warehouse areas to maximize product storage
Material Handler I Skills/Abilities:
• Attention to detail and strong mathematical abilities
Material Handler I
Education and Experience:
• Preferred:
High School diploma or equivalent
• Preferred:
Forklift experience
Material Handler I Physical and/or Travel Requirements:
• Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and turning in cold and extreme cold conditions
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at a time
