Senior Structural Steel Shop Supervisor

• Supervise the daily operations of a large Structural Steel Fabrication Facility.

• Directly lead shop/production personnel to achieve Performance and Productivity goals, and schedule objectives.

• Manage multiple projects concurrently on the shop floor.

• Enforce all Safety Policies.

• Enforce all Quality Control Standards per company Quality Management System.

• Ensure that tools, equipment, machinery, cranes, etc. are calibrated and maintained to safe and proper working order.

• Ensure that adequate stocks, supplies, welding consumables, machine tooling, etc. are available to maintain efficient operation of the facility.

• Promote continuous improvement throughout the shop. Includes means and methods, and personnel training and development.

• Provide guidance, support, and motivation to ensure a positive and productive work environment.

• Evaluate shop personnel and hold accountable, as well as recognize stand out performance.

• Participate in weekly and daily planning meetings as part of the project management team to track and report progress on production objectives.

Must fully comprehend Shop and Working drawings.

Expert ability to Layout, Fabricate, and Weld to AWS D1.1 Standards. CWI is a plus.

Computer literacy is required, familiarity with StruMIS management software is a plus.

10 years experience in Structural Steel Fabrication.

5 years experience in leadership and/or management role.

Must be able to lift 50 lbs and be on your feet for the duration of your shift.

Ability to quickly adapt to changes in priority and scheduling.

Excellent organizational skills.

OSHA 10 is required, OSHA 510 a plus.

Speak English, ability to speak and interpret Spanish is a plus.
