• Performs routine production duties by following written processes to operate machinery such as mills, lathes, grinders, seat/guide/stud presses, induction heat treating equipment, drill presses, CMM, and specialized gauging equipment for seats and guides, and operates an assembly line to specific tolerances in required quantities.
• Performs equipment set up, makes machine offsets, maintains tooling, and may perform minor operating modifications to equipment as needed.
• Responsible for the visual and quantifiable inspection of the result of their process.
• Uses and understands general machine shop gauges, operates a CMM, and interprets CMM data to determine when machines need adjustments.
• Assesses adjustments needed to CNC equipment by reviewing CMM reports, makes adjustments as necessary, and checks adjustments for accuracy.
• Resolves basic production and machine operating problems, and reports non-routine machinery failures to the Team Leader or Production Supervisor for assistance.
• Maintains good housekeeping in the department.
• Follows all safety rules regarding machine operation and proper guarding.
• Maintains a safe working environment by following company safety policies.
• Performs daily Total Preventive Maintenance on the equipment.
• Assists in other production areas as needed.
• Contributes to SRC Automotive's continuous improvement efforts.
• Works within production processes to ensure compliance with IATF-16949.
• Participates in and supports the principles of Open Book Management.

Applicants must be able to work in a manufacturing environment. Exposure to dust, fumes, noise, and varying temperatures is possible. Personal protective equipment such as steel-toed boots, safety glasses, gloves, and ear protection may be required.

Regular walking, standing, use of hands to reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. 95% of the time must be spent standing or walking, with 5% sitting. Able to frequently lift or move 35 to 50 pounds.

• Two or more years of experience in a manufacturing-paced assembly line setting preferred.
• Basic mathematics skills (addition, subtraction, conversions).
• Ability to work between metric and SAE standards.
• Proficient with hand, air, and power tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective relationship management skills with co-workers in a team environment.
• Basic computer literacy; ability to use computer systems to retrieve work processes and Bills of Materials.
